The Gosaikunda Lake trek is one of Nepal’s most popular short Himalayan journeys, known for its sacred lakes, alpine scenery, and cultural significance. * Located inside Langtang National Park, north of Kathmandu * Highest point: Gosaikunda Lake (4,380 m) * Duration: 5–8 days (can be shorter or longer depending on route) * Difficulty: Moderate to challenging * Best seasons: Spring (Mar–May) & Autumn (Sep–Nov) (Religious Importance) Gosaikunda is a holy lake for both Hindus and Buddhists. According to belief, it was created by Lord Shiva when he struck a mountain with his trident to obtain water. Thousands of pilgrims visit during the Janai Purnima festival.
